Chapter 14

Matt

Monday's practice was short because we went spent the time reviewing and learning about Congor High's offense and defense. We ran through a few of our plays and did special teams.

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but all eyes were on me in the huddle and I didn't experience any animosity. Andy was playing halfback and it looked like maybe the guys next to him left a little more space than usual between them. No one said anything. This may have had more to do with Coach Gilbert than the guys themselves.

We ran sprints afterward and headed for the showers. The varsity came in behind us and once in the shower they started swinging their cocks at the four of us. No one said anything though. A couple guys acted like they were fucking each other and faking blow jobs, but didn't say anything to us. Coach Gilbert stuck his head in the shower and they all stopped. Varsity assistants were walking around while we got dressed and things seemed normal.

Andy and I rode home together and he told me about lunch. "Sounds like you did Crawford's job for her."

Andy peddled harder. "Yeah, she just sat there. But it was better than if she talked. You know how she was at the parent's meeting."

"Yeah, she definitely didn't seem to be on our side."

Andy stopped in front of my house as I pulled up beside him. "I hope it goes even better tomorrow." Then he asked me the question I didn't want to answer. "How 'bout Friday? You want to get together with Thomas and Randy?"

My dick moved in my pants.

"Uh. Uh. I'm not sure. What do you have in mind?"

He grinned. "Oh, I don't know, maybe a little sucking and fucking. They told me they were 'ready, willing, and able.' We're just waiting for you."

Andy stopped for me while I rolled my bike up the driveway, opened the gate, and parked my bike at the side of the house. "I'll have to think about it."

"Don't think too long. I'm not sure I can hold ouch much longer. And besides, we want you to join us." "I have homework. Let's talk about it later in the week."

"What if they want to get together mid-week?"

I shrugged. "I'm not interested. I have to plan for a sophomore class meeting and go over the new plays and defenses for Friday's game."

He wouldn't let it go. "Matt, it'll only take an hour at the most. You can get your rocks off and head out to take care of all your responsibilities to the world."

"Don't be so stupid, Andy. We have school, homework, and practice all week. Where are we going to get an hour?"

He sat on the lawn. "Where there's a will, there's a way."

"Get up. It's time for you to go. I have things to do."

He moaned as he stood and said excitedly. "I think my parents are going out of town for the weekend. We'd have all weekend. Doesn't it make your cock hard just thinking about it? It sure does mine."

"Yeah, but I'm trying to have some self-control. And you're making it impossible next to impossible. Just leave me alone. I don't need the temptation. I want my life to get back to normal."

He picked up his bike from the driveway. "Fucking is normal. Hell, we fucked all last week."

"I know. But I don't want every week to be like that." Of course I was kidding myself because I really wanted it to be. It just didn't seem like a good idea. Who knows why these things happen. I was horny as hell and horny all the time and here I was throttling down my desire to fuck as often as possible. Maybe it scared me that I wanted it so badly and it would become my life. I've talked about this before. I talked about the knots. It was like something inside me said "no" while my mind and my dick said "yes".

Part of me is saying I'm going to hook up with Andy, Thomas, and Randy over the weekend while another part is telling me to do something with Gina, Emily, Alan, Ernie, and his girlfriend on Friday night after the game. I wanted my life to seem normal and not gay. Or for that matter spent in a sex orgy of any kind. My dick and ass needed a vacation.

Andy

Lunch detention was tense for the rest of the week. The three J's, Jason, Jasper, and Jarrod, were a pain in the ass on and off all week, but before the week was over, they agreed to back off and just leave us alone.

Some of the varsity guys would say something to Thomas, Randy, or me before and after practice. For some reason, everyone laid off of Matt. There's just something about him that makes people respect him. I wish I had some of what he has.

Coach Mills said he was going to get back at Coach Gilbert for the scene in the locker room on Monday and he'd been biding his time. We came in from practice on Thursday and were getting dressed when we heard loud talking come out of the coaches' office. Matt wasn't in the locker room because Coach Johnson kept him out after practice to work on a few things.

The blinds to the coaches' office were up and we could see Coach Mills and Coach Gilbert getting in each other's faces. They drew the blinds when they saw us looking. The locker room became as quiet as a funeral home except for the voices coming from the office. I heard Coach Gilbert say something like, "You can't do that. He'll sit on the bench. You're trying to punish the whole JV team to get back at me."

"Bullshit," Coach Mills yelled. "I'd never do something like that. We lost Dillon Burke thanks to Matt and the others. We need to replace him. We need a backup quarterback."

Oh shit, I thought. Mills wants to bring Matt up to the varsity. Coach Gilbert's voice got louder. "Are you trying to tell me that you blame those four boys for what happened to Dillon?"

There was silence for a few seconds before Mills responded, "All I know is Dillon was our team leader and starting quarterback, and losing him hurts the whole varsity team. Those boys tempted him and Dillon couldn't resist. He was susceptible because an older man molested him."

Coach Gilbert's voice lowered and he squeezed out. "Keep your voice down. This is between you and me. The whole team is going to hear you."

"I don't give a rat's fuck if they do. It's time they grew up. Our boys aren't dumb shits. They know what goes on around here. They're not naïve kids like in the old days."

"Coach Mills, that's just your problem. Your whole attitude is from the old days. And it's reflected in the attitude of your team. I don't want to see Matt Spence in that environment."

Mills came back with, "He was raped, and you're saying you don't want him in the varsity environment? "

"Yes. And besides, you need his parents' approval."

"I'm sure they'll be glad to give it if the other option is he doesn't play at all."

My heart was beating hard the whole time. I wasn't sure what I'd do, or what the team would do if we lost Matt to the varsity. I didn't think his parents would give their permission. At the same time, they might think it would give him a jump up on a football scholarship. I wanted to run over to their house and tell them to say no. Instead, I ran out of the locker room and found Matt with Coach Johnson. "Matt, Coach Mills wants to bring you up to the varsity."

We both looked at Coach Johnson. He shook his head. "That's the first I heard of it."

I could hardly speak. "The coaches. The coaches were talking in the coaches' office. We could hear them."

Coach Johnson looked pissed. "They can't do that," he said as he ran to the boy's locker room. The coaches' office was silent and the blinds up when we got there. Coaches Mills and Gilbert acted like they were old friends. Sometimes you have to wonder if they were stupid enough to think we hadn't heard everything.

Coach Johnson walked into the coaches' office. "What's this I hear about Matt Spence going to the varsity?"

Matt and I were standing outside the office. Coach Gilbert waved us off and said, "Go home. We'll talk later."

"I'm not going to the varsity," Matt spit out. "I'll never play. That asshole Mills will make sure of that."

I grabbed my sports bag and nudged Matt. "Let's go and talk to your parents before they do."

Jackass Barnes came up to us and said, "Looks like there's going to be one less fag on the JV team."

I couldn't help myself. "Fuck you, Jackass."

He gave me a big grin. "I bet you'd like to."

"Fuck yeah. Name the time and place."

He got in my face and Matt stepped between us. "Knock this shit off unless you both want to be sitting the bench this week."

Barnes backed away and gave Matt a light shove. "No, I'll wait until you're on the varsity. You can give me a blowjob then."

Matt shrugged. "Sorry Barnes, but we have things to do." He pushed passed him and I followed him out of the locker room and to his house.

Matt

Little did I know while I was working with Coach Johnson that that asshole Mills was planning on bringing me up to varsity. I almost shit in my pants when Andy came running out with the news. Coach Johnson was pissed. I was pissed. Andy was pissed. Johnson headed into the office like he was ready to do battle.

What really pissed me off was that Coach Mills hadn't talked to my parents or me. My only hope was they'd say no.

Andy and I rode our bikes as if our lives depended on getting to my house before Coaches Mills or Gilbert called. No one was home when we got there. I called my mom and she said she and my dad were on their way home. "Coach Mills is planning on bringing me up to the varsity," I spit out. "Did he say anything to you?"

"Uh, no." She paused. "Let's not talk on the phone. Wait until we get home. If either coach calls, we'll tell them we'll get back to them later."

Andy and I opened the fridge, grabbed someday old pizza, and sat at the table to eat. "Damn, Andy. If none of this Dillon shit happened, I'd be pumped to go to the varsity. Instead, Dillon raped me by sucking my cock. The varsity players won't see me as Matt Spence, who's moving to the varsity to help the team because Dillon broke his leg. They'll see me there only because Dillon's been fucking younger boys. Do you think the varsity players would ever accept me? I don't think so."

Andy took a bite of his pizza. "I don't know if they'll accept you. I wish I did. But it's a great opportunity. I'd be so excited for you if things were different. I'd be a little jealous, but hey, you're my best friend and I'm not the same asshole who broke his leg last year."

"Andy, what do you think I should do?"

Andy shook his head. "Hell if I know. Things might be different if that asshole Mills wasn't the head coach and athletic director."

"I think you're right."

It seemed like my parents weren't ever coming home. They finally walked into the kitchen, and the first thing out of my mother's mouth was, "You're going to spoil your appetite for dinner."

"Come on, Mom. I don't think that's the most important thing here."

My father said, "Gail, he's right.

My parents sat at the table. My mom grabbed a piece of pizza. "I guess, if you can ruin your dinner, we can too."

My dad grabbed a piece of pizza and asked, "Matt, how do you feel about moving to the varsity?"

I explained what I discussed with Andy. He and my mother didn't seem to know what to say. Finally, my dad took a bite of his pizza and chewed on it a little. "It's a great opportunity, Matt."

"I know. But what about the guys on the JV team? How will they feel losing their quarterback?"

Andy stepped in. "I can do it."

"You're right, Andy. You could," my dad pointed out.

I frowned. "So you think I should go to the varsity?"

My mom gave us both a serious look. "I'm not so sure. If Coach Gilbert was the varsity coach, I'd feel better about it."

Andy started to fidget. It became obvious that he was hungry for my quarterback job. "Matt, I think you should go up. It's a great opportunity, and like I said, I could easily step in. I'm ready."

I should have bit my tongue, but I didn't. "Oh yeah, I forgot, you spent all that time working with Dillon. You must really be good by now."

My parents gave me a dirty look.

The smile slid from Andy's face. "You need to do what you feel is right. I'll accept whatever you decide."

"I think we're getting ahead of ourselves," my dad said. "They haven't even contacted us yet. Let's wait and see what they have to say. Maybe we can even do a little negotiating."

I groaned. "But I like it where I am."

"That may be, but this is a good opportunity," my dad repeated Andy's words. "It could change your future."

I countered. "But I'd have to take a lot of crap from the varsity players."

"Maybe so, but I think you're tough enough to take it."

Andy agreed. "I think you are too. Plus, the guys treat you differently for some reason. You already have the respect of a lot of guys. You'd do fine."

Andy's comment gave me a shot of confidence. I was getting ready to say something when the phone rang. My dad answered. It was Coach Gilbert. "I'd like to drop by and talk. Coach Mills would like to bring Matt up to the varsity. He has the right to do it, but I'd like to get your input."

"We were just talking about it," my dad told him. "I guess the boys overheard you talking in the coaches' office. Come right over."

Coach Gilbert arrived about fifteen minutes later. He joined us around the table. I was a little disappointed because he explained the situation by listing both the advantages and disadvantages as if he didn't care if I went up or not.

"What do you think I should do, Coach?" I asked.

He squeezed his lips together. "I'd personally hate to lose you, but in the long run, it will be good for you. Andy could take your place as quarterback." Andy turned away so I'd have trouble seeing the smile on his face. But I saw it anyway.

Coach Gilbert continued. "My biggest concern is that you'll be brought up and sit the bench. The varsity already has a good backup quarterback in Gordon Thompson. He'd be the starter. There's Frank Kutcher, but I think you're better than he is." He turned to my parents. "You have the final say so I suggest you negotiate with Coach Mills and make him put the final decision on paper and sign it. You should demand that Matt will receive the same coaching as the other quarterbacks, that he will play at least ten minutes a game, and the other athletes will not be allowed to bully him. All those demands are fair. The real problem is that once he's played in a game, he can't go back to the JV team."

My mom expressed her doubts, but my dad was hot for the idea. I kind of liked the idea too. How often does a sophomore get to play on the varsity and get a varsity letter? But I was scared. The funny thing is, at the moment I wanted to be in Andy's room fucking and not in the kitchen trying to make this decision. Looking back on it, I think I was really fucked up.

Coach Gilbert sighed and glanced at all of us except Andy. "Take the night to think about it."

We thanked Coach Gilbert as he left looking a bit downtrodden. I knew exactly how he felt. I turned to Andy after he left and muttered, "Looks like you might be the JV quarterback after all."

He smiled. "Does that mean you're going to do it?"

I shrugged. "I don' know, but I'm seriously thinking about it."

"I think it's a great opportunity. Coach Gilbert had a good suggestion. If Coach Mills isn't willing to sign such a contract, then you can stay where you are," Dad said.

I gave a soft grunt. "We haven't heard anything from Coach Mills yet, so I guess I'll just sit tight." I nudged Andy. "Don't we have some unfinished business at your house?"

He gave me a quizzical look before realized what I was talking about. "Oh yeah. I almost forgot."

Andy

I hate to say, but I was excited about the idea of Matt going to the varsity. I wasn't at first, but when I realized I might get the QB job back, I was excited for the both of us. But for some reason Matt seemed to suddenly have sex on his mind. As far as I was concerned I couldn't think of a better way to sooth his anxiety and pain.

"What about dinner?" his mom asked.

He gave her a big smile. "We already spoiled it, so why bother? We can always grab something from Andy's fridge."

We took off at a run to my house. We greeted my parents and headed to my room where we locked the door, stripped naked, and jumped on the bed. Our cocks came alive. Matt smiled flirtatiously. "It's strange, but once Coach Gilbert left, all I could think of was fucking. Hell, I'm already being fucked. Why not do it for real?"

I laughed. "You're right. And besides I love the idea of fucking the new varsity quarterback who will be getting splinters in his ass from riding the bench."

Matt squeezed my balls and tickled my stomach. "I may surprise you."

I gave him a quick kiss. "I thought we weren't going to have sex until Saturday."

He grinned. "Things change."

I went down to his cock, licked the head, and put it in my mouth before looking up and asking, "So what do you think about a foursome with Thomas and Randy on Saturday?"

He pointed at his cock. "Keep sucking." Then offered, "Right now I think I'm ready for anything. I have a date with Gina on Friday and by this weekend I'll be ready for an orgy of gay sex to either drown my sorrows or celebrate. I'm not sure which."

We had hard, passionate, heart-pounding ass-pounding sex that afternoon. I figured Matt had decided to bite the bullet and go to the varsity. I'm not sure if the sex was to justify his doing it or just to relieve the tension and anxiety of what lay before him. For me, it was just mind-blowing sex that had me thinking about what it would be like to be JV quarterback again.
