The Puppy Boy

A story by e

Chapter 7 - Doin' it Puppy Style

The spring had been a long one and a bit troubled. There were two more incidents but neither involved us. However, both involved new puppies just off the farm, Michael and David; Daniel and I knew both. Michael was accosted with his mistress. They were stopped and threatened while walking down the street. David was pelted with rocks. Our mistresses became afraid to take us out, even to the Temple.

That's when the Goddess Mother stepped in and offered my mother a new job and a way out of town.

"But no!" My heart was in my throat when mother broke the news. "What about Daniel? I'll never see him again." I was in tears before I could finish.

I started to run, but Shelly caught me. "You'll see more of him than ever before."

I stopped suddenly and opened my tear-filled eyes, looking straight into Shelly's.

"He's coming with us," she paused, "and so is Linda."

I stood there, dumbfounded.

"My new job," mother explained, "is at the Brighton Academy. It's about two hundred miles from here. It's one of the finest prep schools anywhere and the girls have been accepted as students. I'll be the Dean of Faculty and Curriculum. I'll be second only to the superintendent. It's a nice promotion."

Once again I had been stupid and over-reacted. I relaxed and smiled; wiping away the tears with the back of my hand.

"We will have on campus housing with twenty-four hour security. The girls will be required to live in the dorms." Mother put her arms around me as she spoke, "As for my two delicious little puppies, you will be my assistants."

I giggled and rolled my eyes, 'assistants' was only one more word for maid, cook, or gardener. Take your pick.

"I'm serious, Carlos. The two of you will spend the summer improving your reading and writing skills. You will also learn to use the library to conduct research."

I didn't know what to say. Puppies were never given anything important to do.

Mother giggled a little at my expression. "As a newly ordained Sister of Sapphos, I intend to do some research on this Coven of Lucretia. It won't hurt to know what we're up against. The school's library is one of the finest and uses all the latest technologies allowing access to data all over the world. But I can't be too obvious about it. That's where you two come in. But we'll talk about that later."

"Mom, you weren't supposed to tell him about the Sisterhood." Shelly sounded concerned.

"He and Daniel might as well know. After all, we joined for them." Mom turned to me, "Shelly and Linda have joined as well."

"Can I join?" I asked hopefully, thinking that if I was going to be doing important work, I would be important enough to join the group.

Obviously you and Daniel can't be Sisters..."

Shelly's giggles cut mom off. "Yeah, Sisters don't exactly have those." Shelly pointed at my puppy parts.

I giggled a little too, but mostly I just felt ridiculous.

"Um-hum." Mother cleared her throat, "Before I was so rudely interrupted..."

"Sorry mom." Shelly apologized.

"As I was saying," mom was obviously trying to ignore her. "I have been authorized to make you and Daniel, the very first 'Puppies of Sapphos'. You'll be like mascots, and sworn to secrecy like everyone else."

*****

"Well, don't you two look perfectly ridiculous?" Mom burst into laughter when she saw us. So did the two girls.

I guess we must have looked pretty odd. I'd dressed myself in a homemade gown of a rather lacey material I found while clearing the basement as we prepared to move. Daniel was dressed in a gown he'd made from a silk-like material we'd found with it.

"I, madam, am Cinderella." I stated as matter of factly as possible.

"And I am the lesbian princess."

We danced our way across the room. By this time everyone was cracking up.

"Ding! Ding! Ding!" Daniel did his best clock imitation.

"Oh no! I must be going." I ran from the room, tossing away one of my shoes and leaving it behind.

"Wait!" Daniel ran after me, stopping to pick up the shoe. "I must find her. She is the fairest maiden in all the land. But I haven't a clue as to who she is; only this glass slipper."

By now we were laughing way too hard to continue our game. We'd been playing it the last couple of days to the amusement of mom and the two girls. But this was the first time we'd had costumes.

Daniel and I watched a holovision program about Cinderella a couple nights ago. We both fell in love. Yeah, it was silly, but she had been so kind and sweet, how could you not love her? We'd daydreamed about being her puppies ever since. I felt kind of guilty about that. I already had the best mistress a puppy could hope for. But still, there was something special about the way she had overcome her evil step-father and wicked step-brothers to win the heart of the lesbian princess. It was just so romantic the way the princess had set out to find her. The story was set back in the days of the Patriarchy, when women were oppressed. It was sad the way they treated her, worse than a puppy even. I really enjoyed the way the fairy Godmother helped her with magic and all.

When we were all laughed out, mom threw her arms in the air and shook her head. "Puppies!" was all she said as she left the room.

We were all laughing again as she left.

Everyone needed to laugh, especially mom. The move had been tough on all of us. She and Jacqui had built that old house and she'd lived there for more than ten years. For mom, it was like leaving her whole life behind. She seemed depressed.

The girls had left their entire lives behind, too. Everything they'd ever known was back in Athens; the school, the Temple, all their friends; everything.

Daniel and I knew what that was like. We'd left our lives behind once. We'd been prepared for it. We knew it was coming. But that didn't make it any easier. We still missed the farm; even after all these months. We figured if we could make them laugh, just a little, maybe they'd forget; if just for a moment.

When we arrived at the academy we were given a tour of the campus. In the middle was a large grassy area with foot and bike paths and a large grove of trees. It was known as the commons. The elementary school was on the north side. The middle school, for grade seven through nine was on the south side. The high school was on the east side. The administration building where mom worked and the faculty and staff residences were on the west side. The elementary dorms were east of the elementary school. The Middle and high school dorms were in an 'L' shaped building on the southeast corner. The gym for the middle school was on the east end of the school and the high school gym and natatorium were behind the high school. The track and outdoor stadiums were across the street from the high school.

*****

"You must be joking" It was Ms Topher, the reading teacher. "You want me to teach puppies. I'll not do it."

"You will do it." Mother insisted. "And you'll receive a bonus. If you achieve results."

"But puppies can't learn. They're not capable."

"I thought that once, myself. But these two have a way of surprising you with what they can do. I've come to learn that puppies are much smarter than anyone gives them credit for."

"But what's the point? It's not like they'll ever have use for it."

"I have use for it. I need them reading at least at eighth grade level and I need them to learn to use the library. I want them to be capable of finding material that I need for my research. It will save valuable time."

"Put them in the class. I'll spend some time with them. But this is nonsense." Ms Topher shook her head. "I'll not sacrifice a moment with one of my real students to help them."

"I wouldn't expect that you'd sacrifice any one student to help another. I WILL expect you to help them ALL."

With that mom turned to us, "Alright boys, there's a couple of empty desks over there. Take a seat and get started."

Daniel and I just looked at each other. This was not what we'd expected when mom said we'd be attending school. On the farm, our teachers seemed to like teaching us, and expected us to learn.

There were maybe twenty girls in Ms Topher's remedial class. All of them had just finished the sixth grade at the elementary school across the commons. They would begin at the middle school in the fall. But first, they needed to be brought to grade level as they were behind in reading.

"All right, then," began Ms Topher, "We'll begin with some testing to see where each of you needs to begin." She passed out a test booklet to each student and went over the instructions.

*****

Physical education followed our reading class with writing class after that. Daniel and I sat in the bleachers in the gym listening to the coach go over the rules. At least this class had girls entering the ninth grade; that meant they were our age. There were fifteen of them. Mostly they were girls who lived in town or whose parents worked for the school. They were also the school's athletes. The only real reason anyone would take a phys ed course over the summer would be to get into shape for fall athletics.

"Listen up girls." The coach began. "This class is physical conditioning. Monday, and Friday will be strength training in the weight room. Tuesday and Thursday will be dance aerobics here in the gym. Wednesday is endurance running on the track. You are required to suit up for class in standard school athletic uniforms and to shower after class. Any questions?"

"Yeah, coach. What about them?" one of the girls was motioning towards us. "Are they gonna be in the showers with us?"

There was a lot of nervous laughter at her remarks.

"I almost forgot." The coach stepped in our direction. "We have two very special guests in our class this summer. These two rather scrawny and sorry excuses for puppies belong to our new dean of faculty. She thinks they've gone a bit soft and I agree. But that's about to change."

She blew a quick, short blow on her whistle. "Front and center, pups."

Daniel and I stood up and stepped to the front of the class.

"How many of you have never seen a puppy up close and personal?" She paused a second. "Don't be shy."

Six hands went up. Mom said most of the students would be from families wealthy enough to own puppies.

"Alright, I don't want them to be a distraction, so you have a look. Get as close a look as you want. Touch them, feel them, smell them, get used to them. As far as I'm concerned they are as much a part of this class as any of you. They'll follow the same rules with minor exceptions. First, puppies don't wear clothing. You'll need some support for those silly looking things between your legs, so your thong or a supporter will be worn along with socks and athletic shoes to protect your feet. But that's it. Now strip."

Daniel and I looked at each other and smiled. This was more like it. We were gonna be comfortable here. We quickly shed our clothes.

"For the next few minutes you will lose the thongs. You can put them back on when I start class." She waited for us to step out of our thongs.

There were some 'oooh's and aaah's and whispers as we stood naked before the class.

"Second, puppies are not permitted in the locker room. Puppies don't need privacy, but girls do. You two will change right here" She pointed to the door to her office. "You can put your things in my office for safe keeping during class. You will shower outside. There is a hose just outside those doors. You will rinse each other off, towel dry, then come back inside and get dressed."

"Now girls, you have five minutes to satisfy your curiosity so they won't be a distraction. Some of their parts are rather delicate, so be gentle with them."

The coach stepped aside and we were mobbed by girls, pushing, pulling, grabbing, squeezing, poking, and prodding. I was glad when the coach finally blew her whistle and ordered everyone into the locker room to change so she could demonstrate the stretching routine we would each go through before the start of each class.

*****

Writing class was once again with Ms Topher and she wasn't any happier to have us in that class than she was for reading. We were back with the soon to be seventh graders and had to take another proficiency test.

At the end of the period, we were off to find Shelly and Linda for lunch in the school cafeteria. There was a swarm of girls and I thought we'd never find them. By the time we finally we spotted them at a table near the center of the room, there wasn't enough time for us to eat. It didn't matter, though. We only had morning classes and after listening to the girls complain about the dorms for several minutes, we headed back to the house tohave lunch, finish our chores, and prepare dinner.

It was odd knowing the girls wouldn't be coming for dinner. It would be just mom and the two of us.

Mom stepped in the door just as we finished fixing dinner. We readied the table while she changed form her work clothes into something a little more comfortable.

She sat at the table, said grace, and the three of us began a small feast on a garden salad, spaghetti and meatballs, steamed broccoli, and garlic bread.

"So how was your first day?" Mom asked the obvious question.

Daniel and I looked at each other, "Ok." We said in unison, he added "Ms Miller."

I asked, "How was yours?"

"Very good. Everything went smoothly, except for dealing with Ms Topher. She's not too enthusiastic. She didn't give you any problems, did she?"

"No, Ms Miller, she treated us ok." Daniel answered.

"Good. Just one thing, Daniel."

"Yes, Ms Miller."

"You can stop with the formalities when we're at home. You're as much a part of the family as anyone. I've come to think of you and Linda like another son and daughter, so just call me mom from now on."

"Ok, Ms, umm mom"

We all giggled and took a couple more bites of dinner.

"I got your test results from Ms Topher." Mom looked at Daniel and smiled. "I'm really proud of your scores, Daniel. You tested better than I would have guessed. You're at grade level 5.5 in reading and 4.5 in writing. That's higher than the standards they teach on the farm."

Daniel was beaming.

Now mom turned to me. "Your reading scores were good, Carlos"

"But not as good." I sounded unenthusiastic. Daniel always did better than me in school. He was the handsome, smart one and I was the cute, athletic one.

"Your reading is fine, grade 4.5. But we're going to have to concentrate on writing skills, though it's not surprising after seeing that little book you made for me. You're at second grade level.

I hung my head. I thought she'd liked the book. I tried so hard on it. I could feel tears welling in my eyes and I turned away so she wouldn't see them.

"Carlos, what's the matter. You'll do fine." She stopped a moment, "Oh, it's the book isn't it?"

"I thought you liked it." I wasn't hungry anymore. I wanted to get up and leave.

"Oh, honey." She stood and put her arms around me. "I thought it was the nicest thing anyone has ever given me. I still do."

"But it's not any good." I was still crying.

"It's beautiful, Carlos. I know you worked hard on it and I know you did your best. You put your heart and soul into it. That's what matters." She kissed my forehead. "I keep it in the drawer of my nightstand. Whenever I feel sad, I take it out and read it again. I can't tell you how it comforts me to know how much my little puppy loves his mommy."

I tilted my head back to look up at her. "You really like it?"

"It's very, very special, Carlos. I wouldn't trade it for all the tea in China."

I cocked my head and furrowed my brow and looked at her thoughtfully for a second. "But there's no 't' in China." I was confused.

Mom laughed. "Oh you silly little puppy."

I looked across the table at Daniel who just shrugged his shoulders.

*****

"Carlos, what's wrong?" Daniel asked as we cleaned ourselves up in the bathroom, preparing for bed. "You've hardly said a word since dinner."

That was true. I didn't speak at all while we cleaned the kitchen. I spoke only when necessary while mom helped us with our homework. Then I lay quietly watching the holovision.

I looked at my beautiful, naked, and now squeaky clean puppy boyfriend. I was embarrassed. "I don't know."

"Not good enough. You're going to tell me what's wrong. I'm not making love to you 'til you do." He stuck out his tongue at me.

"Fine, I guess you'll be jacking off for a while." I was still pouting.

"Just 'cause you didn't do well on a stupid test?"

"No." I walked back down the hall to the bedroom and threw myself onto our cushion.

"Then what?" He was getting frustrated." Talk to me, Carlos." He lay next to me, pulled the blanket over us, and put his arms around me.

"It's not just the test. It's everything." I was starting to cry again. "Ever since I left the farm, I keep screwing up. Sometimes I don't feel like I belong here. I used to always think that if I messed up enough, mom would send me away."

"You know she'd never do that." He held me tighter.

"I know that now. But I still feel like I don't belong sometimes."

"Like tonight."

"Yeah."

"But if it's not the test score, then what is it?"

"It's stupid." I tried to roll away, but he only tightened his hold on me. "I'm stupid."

"You're not stupid, Carlos. You'll improve. I bet by the end of the summer you're up with me." He kissed the back of my neck.

"That's not it."

"Then what?"

"It's you." I was crying again.

"What do you mean, it's me? What did I do?"

"Nuthin'. You didn't do nuthin'."

"You're not makng any sense."

"I told you I'm stupid." Now I had to try not to laugh. I wasn't finished pouting.

"Carlos."

"Ok, tonight when mom told you to call her 'mom' and then said she was proud of you. I was jealous. It was like... it felt like you were taking my place."

I couldn't stay there. I jumped up and ran from the room. I could hear him calling after me, but I ignored him. I went into mom's room and crawled into her bed. I needed her to hold me tonight.

*****

I got up early and fixed breakfast for everyone. Mom had eaten and was gone before Daniel got up.

Daniel didn't speak to me at all; not one word. I guess I couldn't blame him after I'd abandoned him. He looked like he hadn't slept. I couldn't eat. I wanted t puke. His silence was driving me crazy. My heart was like a lump in my throat and by the time we were ready to leave, I was fighting off tears. But I didn't have to hide them from Daniel. He left before I finished getting my shoes on and was halfway across the commons before I stepped outside.

I had to stand outside the classroom door for a couple minutes to gather myself before I could enter. I didn't want him to see me crying. All through class I kept looking at him, but he was busy working and didn't even look at me.

Daniel was already in the gym stripping out of his clothes when I walked in. I stepped up next to him and started to say something when he just walked away. I wasn't sure how much of this I could take. All I wanted was to tell him I was sorry and I still loved him.

Class was even worse. It was our first day of dance aerobics and Coach Simms was all over him. She put her hand on his shoulder. She brushed it against his thigh. She patted him on the butt. She said things like "That's good Daniel." "Very nice Daniel." "Lift your legs higher Daniel." It was sickening and it was like I didn't even exist.

When class ended I went to the office to strip out of my thong. Daniel did as well. Coach Simms handed me my clothing, "There you go Carlos, remember the hose is outside." She turned to Daniel, "I'd like to see you in my office."

Daniel's smile was like a knife cutting right through me. I turned and ran from the gym. I didn't want him to see my tears.

I put my clothes on the wall opposite the walkway and turned on the hose. I shivered as I squirted the cold water onto my body.

"Why are you crying?"

I jumped at the sound of a girl's voice behind me. When I turned, I saw a small girl from my reading class. She had to be twelve like the other girls, but she was smaller than the others and seemed younger.

"Hi." It was an unenthusiastic greeting, but it wasn't meant to be.

"Why are you so sad?"

"I dunno, I'm just lonely." I wanted to tell her to get lost, but I couldn't be that mean, especially since she looked as sad as I felt.

"Me too. The other girls were teasing me so I came out here to get away."

"Why would they tease a pretty girl like you?" I turned off the water and started coiling the hose.

She giggled, "Do you really think I'm pretty?"

"You're the prettiest girl in our class." I wasn't lying. She might have been smaller than the others, but she really was pretty; brown hair, brown eyes, slender build. I liked her smile when she giggled.

"You're just saying that."

"No way. I noticed you right away, yesterday even. You're name's Jane, right?"

"You know my name?"

"Of course, it's a puppy's duty to know the names of the prettiest girls." I was just about finished drying myself off.

She giggled. "Well, I think you're cute."

Now it was my turn to giggle.

"And I think you're really sweet for saying that," she continued, "but you don't have to."

"Sure I do. That's another one of a puppy's duties, to remind a pretty girl of just how pretty she is, especially if he thinks she might have forgotten."

"You're funny"

I finished folding my towel and I reached for my thong.

"I've never seen a naked puppy before." She giggled. "Is that your penis?" She was pointing.

I smiled and giggled. "Yes."

"It's kind of funny looking." She stopped herself. "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..."

Now I laughed. "Yeah, I guess it is; especially if you've never seen one before." I stepped into my thong and pulled it on, then continued dressing.

"Will you be my friend?" She asked "I don't have any friends."

"I never made a friend before; at least not one that wasn't a puppy. And I don't have any friends right now either." I hung my head again. The sadness was starting to return.

"What about the other puppy?"

"I don't think he wants to be my friend anymore." I was starting to tear up again.

"Is that why you were crying?"

I nodded and wiped a tear from my cheek. She took me by the arm and we walked to class.

My heart sank as I walked into the classroom. Daniel was watching the door from his desk, but turned away as soon as he saw me. I sat across the room, next to Jane at a desk where I could see him without turning around. I looked longingly at him, wishing he would turn and look at me.

"Alright class," began Ms Topher, "today's assignment is to write about ways you like to have fun." She walked across the front of the room handing papers out to the student in the front desk to be passed back to everyone in the row. She continued to speak as she passed out the papers. "You have thirty minutes. Then I will call on several of you to step to the front and read your papers."

I was preoccupied with Daniel. I kept looking at him, but he never looked back. He just started writing. I did manage to write a bit, though.

Ms Topher called on two girls to read their papers. I barely paid any attention. When the second girl finished, Ms Topher called on me.

"Well, get with it, Carlos. We all want to hear what puppies do for fun."

The class giggled. She was obviously mocking me. I didn't want to read my paper, but I didn't have much choice. Getting in trouble for disobeying was not an option.

I stood at the front of the room and began reading:

"How Puppies Have Fun by Puppy Carlos"I took a breath and sighed. "The first thing to know about puppies is we like to have fun. Puppies like to throw balls and catch them even if there is no one else around. It is fun."

The class giggled again.

"Puppies like to make their mistress smile too. The other day my best puppy Daniel and me played Cinderella for our mistresses. We dressed up in dresses that we made. Everyone laughed. It was fun"

This time it was laughter combined with giggles. There were a couple of comments too, but I didn't hear them. I stopped a moment and swallowed. I started shaking. This was the part I didn't want to read. I didn't want Daniel to hear it.

"Some times puppies don't have fun. Sometimes puppies cry. Like when they say stupid things and their best puppy gets mad and hates them."

I tossed the paper across the room and ran. I couldn't let anyone see the tears. I didn't stop running until I got home. I ran up the stairs and into the bedroom where I grabbed my teddy bear, my pillow, and my blanket. I crawled under the bed and scooted all the way against the wall. I covered myself and cried.

*****

I awoke to the sound of voices. It was mom and Daniel.

"You mean he's not here?"

"I thought he was with you." Daniel sounded like he didn't care at all about where I was.

"Why would he be with me?" Mother sounded worried.

I took a deep breath and shuddered. I didn't want my mom to worry about me, but I wasn't ready to face her. I didn't want to see Daniel either. I started crying again. It was difficult to remain silent.

"Well, he didn't show up for lunch with the girls, so we thought he must have come home. But he wasn't here either. So I thought he must have gone to see you. He was really upset." Daniel was talking really fast.

"Are you sure he's not here."

"I looked everywhere. But he was here. His teddy and blanket are missing. He must have took them."

"Look again. He likes to hide when he's upset."

I could hear the closet doors open and close; the same with the hall closet and bathroom doors. There was lots of movement. I guess no one thought to look under the bed.

"Ok, I'm calling the girls. Maybe he showed up over there." Mom gave voice commands to the holophone, but she did the talking in another room and I couldn't hear.

The holophone was part of the holovision system, but it allowed you to talk to someone else while seeing their projection if they wished to transmit one. Mostly it was just for talking.

A few minutes passed. Again I debated coming out, but I couldn't. I knew I'd be in trouble, but I just couldn't face them right now. I was still jealous of Daniel. I knew my mommy loved me, but it seemed she loved Daniel even more. He was better than me. He doesn't throw tantrums like me. He's smarter. He's taller and maybe worst of all, his dick is bigger. Not just a little bigger either; two whole inches.

The girls liked to measure us to see if we are still growing. They'd measured again just a few days before we moved. I'd grown another quarter inch, making it three quarters of an inch bigger since Shelly brought me home and a full inch since I'd been sterilized almost eight months ago.

The coach saw that his was bigger. That had to be why she picked him over me. He could give more pleasure with that big thing than I could. Girls thought mine was 'funny looking.'

"He was with a girl in class. I heard her tell someone that she was his girlfriend."

"Girlfriend?" Mom sounded shocked.

"That's what she said."

I couldn't tell from the sound of his voice what he was thinking.

"Well, what's her name? Maybe he's with her."

"I think it's Jane"

I heard more voice commands. This time she was calling Ms Topher. Again she wandered out of earshot. A few minutes later I heard her return.

"Ok, thank you." She gave the command to end the call and to begin another. "Call Plummer, Margaret" Mom was standing in the hallway just outside the bedroom door.

"Hello, Dean Miller?" It was the voice on the other end.

"Yes, hello, Margaret? I'm sorry to bother you like this, but one of my puppies is missing and I think your daughter may be of some help."

"My daughter? With a puppy? They wouldn't go near one of those filthy little animals." Her voice was cold and I shivered. I don't think I like Jane's mom. "Which daughter?"

"I'm told he was talking to Jane before writing class."

"Jane. Get in here." There was a short pause.

"Were you talking to one of those nasty puppies in school today?"

"Yes, mom. He's not nasty. His name is Carlo..." She was cut off.

"How many times have I told you to stay away from those dirty creatures? They're evil and will do nothing but get you into trouble. He didn't hurt you did he?"

"No mom, he wouldn't hurt me. He was really nice." She seemed to be pleading.

I couldn't allow it to go on.

"She didn't do anything wrong. She just needed a friend. The other girls were teasing her." I yelled it out, but made no move to get out from under the bed.

"What? Who is that?" The voice on the phone sounded confused.

"Carlos?" Mom and Daniel said it at once.

I poked my head out and gave my best sad puppy face hoping to stay out of trouble.

"Get out here. NOW!" Mom was angry. I guess my sad puppy face wasn't sad enough.

"Margaret, I'm sorry to have bothered you. I think we just found him."

I crawled from under the bed and stood with my eyes looking at the floor.

"You've been under there all this time?"

I nodded. "I guess I fell asleep." It wasn't entirely a lie. I had been asleep. I just wasn't telling her when I woke up.

I looked at Daniel and my eyes started tearing up again. He looked just as sad.

"The two of you have a lot of explaining to do." She guided us to the family room.

"It's my fault mom." Daniel shot a quick glance at me when he said it, knowing that I would react to his calling her 'mom'.

"No it's not." I wasn't about to let him become a martyr on my behalf. "You're perfect. I'm the screw up." My stomach was in knots. I couldn't sit there and talk about this. I got up and ran back to the room.

I thought about crawling under the bed again. But there wasn't any point. They already knew about it so it wouldn't do any good. I just grabbed my blanket and teddy and threw myself on the cushion. I could hear muffled voices. It sounded like Daniel was crying and mom was comforting him. Yep, he was the new favorite son.

After a few minutes there was some movement in the hallway. I curled up tighter and wiped the tears from my eyes. I didn't want them to see me crying.

"Just go in there and curl up next to him. Put your arm around him and don't let go." It was mom's voice. "Tell him how you feel about him."

"Are you sure?" Daniel sounded like he was still sobbing.

"No, but one of you needs to make the first move."

I heard the door open and close, then I heard someone in the room. There was some sniffling, so I knew it was Daniel. He moved beside me and I tried to turn away but I could only move so far. He had me pinned against the wall. I felt him slip under the blanket. He put his arm around me.

Then nothing, not a word. He just lay there next to me. He just held me. Why didn't he say something? It couldn't have been more than a minute or two, but it seemed like hours.

We were both naked. I felt him getting hard and it was making me hard. Why was this happening? He began to slowly move himself against me. I gasped. He moved his hand down and wrapped it around my dick. I shuddered. I wished he would stop, but I didn't want him to. He squeezed and I moaned.

I tried hard not to respond. I wanted to be mad at him. I needed to be mad at him.

His hand moved to my balls and he kissed the back of my neck. He was kidding me, licking me, nibbling at my earlobes. He knew every spot. His hand moved back to my shaft. I couldn't take it anymore. My body tensed. I exploded. "Fuck me. Hard!" I practically yelled. He had defeated me and to the victor go the spoils.

He pulled me to my hands and knees, then mounted me from behind.

Spit and cum don't make the best lube and I grunted as he entered me. It hurt, but I wanted it. No. I needed it. I had to have it.

He went slowly at first, but soon quickened his pace. He was thrusting hard.

Suddenly the door burst open and the light switched on. Shelly and Linda stumbled into the room.

"Holy Mother of..." The two of them stopped, their eyes widened and they covered their mouth with their hand.

"MOM!" Shelly shrieked.

Daniel froze, his dick stuffed all the way up inside me.

"So this is how puppies make up?" Linda's giggle broke the tension.

Daniel and I just started laughing. I collapsed to the floor and Daniel fell on top of me, then rolled to the side. His dick was still inside me and now everyone could see it.

"What's all the..." Mom appeared at the door. "Oh my goodness." She burst into laughter. "I take it that you're friends again?"

Daniel and I were both laughing too hard to reply.

"I thought they were fighting." Shelly was trying hard no to laugh.

"C'mon girls, let's let the boys continue their, umm... making up."

"I just need to get my book." Shelly stepped around us and grabbed a book from the shelf.

"You can, umm, stay and watch if you want." I looked at Daniel and laughed.

"No thanks, boys. You two need some 'puppy time'." Mom practically steered the girls out of the room and closed the door.

"Aw c'mon mom."

"Yeah, this could be fun."

"Some other time, girls. The boys need to work things out."

"You mean in and out."

We could hear their laughter all the way down the hall. I was sure they could hear ours, too.

*****

This morning's class met in the library instead of the classroom. Ms. Topher said we needed to learn how to find the books on the reading list for class. My mind wandered as Ms Topher went on about the holographic card file and explained how to find books to read. I wasn't too sure I followed what she said, especially about the numbers and such, but I wanted to see if there was a book about Cinderella.

I waited for her to get done helping the girls and then asked her how to find the books about magic. She seemed quite amused, but showed me the cards in the catalog and walked me to the section where I might find the book. Cinderella wasn't there, but I found another called Snow White and the Seven Wild Puppies. That one had a magic mirror, an evil Queen and a whole lot of playful silly little puppies. I dreamed of being one of them. It was wonderful.

The following week I arranged to assist Ms Topher in the library. She was actually the school librarian and only taught remedial classes in the summer. She was a bit apprehensive about allowing a puppy to 'play' freely in her library, with minimal supervision, but eventually she saw that I could be useful. She put me to work fetching all the books that had been left lying on the tables. She showed me how to organize them so she could file them away. I wasn't allowed to do that part. She said I might put them in the wrong place and lose them forever. I certainly didn't want to do that.

When I finished I asked permission to find a book to read. She looked at me curiously, but said nothing. She nodded her approval. Her reaction to my request seemed rather strange and I was bothered by it. But I didn't know why.

I went back to the section with the 'magic' books. I pulled out several; one at a time of course, looked over them, but found them to be too difficult for me to read. That's when I saw it. 'Spells of Enchantment and Witchery.' I opened it. It looked a bit difficult for me, but I was intrigued. It explained how to do magic spells and how to gather the ingredients for them. It also included the incantations. The next thing I noticed was that it didn't have a library number.

I looked around and saw that no one was watching. I took the book and a couple others I'd found back to my table. I slipped it into the book bag I'd brought in and took the others to the counter to check them out. I'm not sure why I felt the need to be so secretive, but this book scared me. I had to know what was in it. But I couldn't let anyone else know what I'd found.
